Hello, my name is Karine Riva.

I started photography at the age of 15. I self-taught myself photography by reading up on it and a lot of trial and error. I have had a few jobs as a photographer's assistant for a few studios until I was confident enough to start doing my own work.  In March 2017, I was honored enough to get some of my urban photography published in a local creative arts magazine. I had the chance as well to photograph and film a music festival for the first time and hopefully many more festivals down the road.
In more recent times, my main photographic focus is on weddings and covering other kinds of events. I very much enjoy shooting those candid moments at various events.

I was accepted in several colleges for creative photography, but decided to to take my education in another direction. I have taught a photography class at my university as a teaching assistant  and am currently working mainly as a car photographer. I love to explore and try out new forms of photography or editing techniques.
Now as I have grown from a hobby to an actual career, I try to take on bigger projects. I have photographed now more than a dozen weddings and events and portrait photoshoots.

My portfolio consists of my favourite pictures ranging from various themes and locations. These images are constantly being updated as I continue to photograph.

Enjoy, feel free to contact me if any inquiries.
